* Used to holding her emotions in check and inside, thanks to both her skills in shadow magic needing a tight rein and people's tendency to treat her poorly.
* Has never had much positive attention thrown her way so easily flustered when she gets it.
* Looks like a villainess and is often treated like one right off the bat.

* Primarily uses shadow magic.
* Particularly known for being able to imbue written text with her magic. Anything from healing spells to curses -- mostly known for the curses of course.
* The Kweydos family is well known for both it's light and dark magic users. In general they like most in the kingdom show preference for the light magic users and while they don't reject the dark ones they aren't given near the prestige and intricate training. It's said often the Kweydos family marries off their dark magic users to more powerful families to be used for curses and other back room nefarious things, neglecting the healing and more positive dark magic that could be had. It's a history of users who aren't used to their full potentials.

A gentle mid-ranged voice, more alto than soprano. Maybe with a light indistinguishable accent.
DEMEANOUR:
In general Arafel is very cool, calm and collected. She has an air of royalty around her despite her family being nobility and decidedly not royalty. Some of her dark magic ancestors have been the second and third wives of kings but never the first.
OLFACTORY:
Deep and dark -- musks and floral scents favoring orchids and jasmine. Arafel is very attentive to her hair.
VISUAL:
Stands 5'6" with a lean figure. Her hips aren't quite wide enough to be an hourglass but she's shapely with a full bust.
